Food Stamps and Other Nutrition Programs
Federal, state and local governments provide many programs designed to help meet the nutritional needs of people with low incomes and their families.
The Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (formerly the Food Stamp Program) provides a basic safety net to millions of people by providing monthly benefits to eligible low-income families that can be used to purchase food. Although the program is administered by the U.S. Department of Agriculture, the benefits are distributed by the individual U.S. states. By clicking on or selecting a state above, you will be taken to a page that provides the local Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) offices within the respective state.
